Free Stuff I love: Tote Tutorials

Boy, do I have a lot of links for you today. Who can resist the humble tote bag? Lovely gift, wonderfully useful and ever the versatile little bag. I sewed my first tote as a gift this week, but can't show it to you yet because it is still with Mr Mailman and I don't want to spoil the surprise. Sewing a Tote was incredibly satisfying. I can't tell you why, it just was.

So, today you have my rather lengthy list of favourites tote tut freebies!
Let's start with the basics:

The classic tote by Irene at Sew Mama Sew!

The Pink October basic tote from Mamas Pocketbook.

And here are some lovely totes to help you with your daily chores:

Singlet Style Shopping Bag (from a plastic bag!) shared at Crafster

Elise Marley Post Office Bag

The re-usable grocery bag with comfy handles at U-Handbag (folds to a bag within a bag!!)

And of course you would also need some seasonal totes:

An Apple Picking Tote by Molly's Sketchbook at the Purl Bee

The Spring Tote at Made By Jill

And for your little people:

The kidlet wall pocket tidy tote by J Casa Handmade (I love this one!)

Molly's little purses again at the Purl Bee

The child's artwork tote bag from the long thread

And what the heck, these are just plain cute, and worth a look:

Bias Tape Tote from Belle Epoque (NB. I could not locate an image of the completed tote, so this is a picture of the lovely one completed by Scary Mary from the Belle Epoque Flickr Group)

The accordion tote file from A moment in time

SO there you have it! So many, many more I could add, but I am exhausted from all the clicking!! Hopefully you can make good use of these lovely tutorials and enjoy tote making like I did. x o
